EFT-5 Electronic Static and Dynamic Testing Machine passed the verification in Indian institute of technology. It is with video extensometer and furnace that is for tension, compression, bending, fracture toughness for CT tests. The max. frequency is up to 15Hz. This machine will do research for micro-structure of materials in IIT.

Test includes:

1. Deflection measuring for 3 & 4 bending test with DIC video extensometer with accuracy 0.5um.

With DIC to measure the strain distribution at the tip of the opening.

2. Dynamic tension and compression cycle test at room temperature, Hysteresis loop test zero crossing

under tension and compression, using epsilon 3442 extensometer

3. The forced coaxial tensile test is suitable for size of L10mm x W0.5mmx T0.5mm small specimen with high strength at room temperature. The deformation is measured with DIC video extensometer with an accuracy of 0.1um

4. Static / cyclic tensile test at the 800 ℃, the deformation was measured by using the DIC video extensometer with an accuracy of 0.2um and high temperature strain distribution.

5. The precracking / KIC fracture toughness test at room temperature / high temperature CT specimens, and the indirect measurement of crack length with DIC video extensometer.
