    It adopts electric actuator structure with all-electric, backlash free, central ball-lead screw driving to achieve direct force transmission to the specimen. The electro-mechanical actuator is connected to single phase power, resulting in a clean & low nose & free maintenance solution.

  • · A rigid load frame includes two columns structure with high stiffness providing superior axial and lateral stiffness, backlash-free operation to provide high load capacity, high positioning accuracy and repeatability.

    · Loading frame is with an anti-vibration table and upper crosshead and locked unit. Electric actuator is mounted on the top of crosshead with anti-rotation system and with built-in displacement encoder for high precise position measurement.

    · This machine is driven by electro-mechanical actuator without needing any hydraulic power, resulting in a clean & low noise & free maintenance solution.

    · With brush-free AC axial servo motors, it creates virtually silent drive, no oil operating environment, low power consumption and maintenance free condition.

    · The test accessories including energy absorption capacity test assemblies on the frame suitable for circular bracket for dia. 800x75mm panel.

    · LVDT hold by magnetic base placed on working table is used to check the deflection of concrete samples.

    · ASTM C1550: Flexural Toughness Testing of Fiber Reinforced Concrete

    ASTM C1550 determines the flexural toughness of fiber-reinforced concrete. Flexural toughness is the maximum stress put onto a specimen before it cracks or breaks. In this instance it is expressed as energy absorption in the post-crack range using a round panel supported on three symmetrically arranged pivots and subjected to a central load point.

    To test in accordance to ASTM C1550, the size of specimens should have a diameter of 800 mm (31.5 in). This standard requires a detailed analysis of the deflection vs. load data to ensure the accurate reporting of flexural toughness.

    The special fixture supporting the panel during testing includes three symmetrically arranged pivot points on a pitch circle diameter of 750 mm. The supports are capable of supporting a load of up to 100 kN (22 kip) applied vertically at the center of the specimen.
